recieved this lovely quote from a friend,authour unknowm

"Do not assume that he who seeks to comfort you now, lives untroubled among the simple and quiet words that sometimes do you  good.
His life may also have  (had) much sadness and difficulty,  far beyond yours.
Were it otherwise, he would never have  been able to find these words."
 
 
And yes it truly describes empathy;
Which is subtly different from compassion.
And yet at some point they meet.

 In true compassion you are witness,
You view it from the larger picture,
A larger consciousness..
There is thus certain stillness in compassion; 

It holds a steady embrace for the other through ones larger deeper understanding
And yet it embraces both the larger macro and micro day-to-day view of the situation
Thus it judges not your micro view and feelings
Indeed there is empathy towards this;
But yet it holds for you a larger lens and its stillness for whenever you are ready.

Thus is compassion love but not emotion
Thus is there complete involvement or being there for the other yet detachment of the witness mode
One doesn’t jump into the quick sand with the other and can thus best help him out!

In analogy it is like viewing another complain, cry, and feel the pain within the purview of playing a game…
You help out the other in his game, sure…you are there for the other who cries out in despair during the play…
you understand he is caught up in it...yet your very awareness that the others anguish  is only within a game and not his ‘real life’ enables you to flow with compassion instead of getting embroiled ...to be there…yet be tranquil and still and help him view beyond the game!

Empathy is when you and the other join as one over the situation or emotion;
When you are one with …or ‘feel’…not just understand …the others situation.
Empathy is not merely an emotional oneness but real in energy terms! 

It can arise either when you have experienced the same (beyond just observing it in others or the outside ;) in common parlance when you have ‘been there’ too …and thus it is a ‘reality’ within you not an observation or intellectual understanding;
This memory… or sharing of reality… links you energetically- empathy indeed!
Or it arises when there is deep oneness with the other…when there is no ‘other’…
thus in the oneness of energy fields you literally become one with the others feelings too...

Yet true empathy is not getting embroiled or caught up or lost in the ‘others’ situation
For it is a blend of compassion and empathy;

 You operate from your higher beingness and are one with ‘another’ in his moments of seeming pain…
And as empathy means oneness in energy terms indeed…
You impact the ‘other’ at subtle energy levels far beyond words…
Your larger view and stillness… compassion…. Heals;
Even as…while … your at-one-ment with…commiseration and non judgment of ...the ‘others’ present situation…empathy… holds the other in its embrace.

 Yes empathy holds an embrace
Which allows compassion to heal

As an energy worker, healer, tarot reader, counselor…
This combination is ideal
For unless you can first empathize
Compassion may not reach or be able to help the other;
 

 Pure compassion works better for a teacher or guide…
In true healing …be it physical or emotional... energy sessions or counseling…
Or simply sharing with a friend or beloved
Empathy is often the door
Into the ‘other’;
For only as you become one…
Can compassion step in to aid…'still' the other…show a larger view!
Can the larger conscioussness impact its weaker  aspect

From my own personal experiences with clients
I have learnt
That when I can look into their eyes
And transmit yessss I have been there; I Know…Oh yes I Know (not just understand)
…I KNOW 

When even deep within… I don’t wonder why or how could the ‘other’ feel, say, do …
When I don’t judge to the degree that I don’t see anything to not judge!!!
When I draw on some example from my own life …
...in empathy…In this real oneness energy-wise with the others situation… 

A door opens within us

Or a connection ‘happens’

And in this oneness

In this emphatitic  embrace

Does the Universe step in to heal…

Does the larger (universal)conscioussness impact its limited ( ego-personal) aspect!

For compassion, remember is the larger view or... Universal consciousness!

Compassion is truly not yours or mine

Compassion is universal Love and Wisdom.

All we need to do for the 'other' is open a door within him to receive!
