PURPOSES PART 2 -"HOW DO I FIND MY PURPOSE TO BE"

Now that we have spoken at such length about your purposes to be, for the practical minded amongst you, we will answer the question we see hovering on many minds about how indeed you find these purposes!

Purposes are inbuilt into your lives! They make themselves a part of your life in inexplicable ways… and our first clue towards determining your purpose in the now is to see where your passion is? Look for where your passion is - where do you feel enthusiasm and joy? What do you enjoy doing even if it doesn’t lead you anywhere? That is a beautiful clue to find your purpose to be.   So wherever you feel a throbbing of spirit…BE with that my dears… and experience and learn all you can from it. For even as you do, through fulfilling these (what might appear to your ‘spiritual minds’ as too commonplace to be 'you purposes to be'…) other, what you consider larger and higher purposes, will open up.

For some, your current passion maybe a relationship, for another a job well done, or perhaps your passion encompasses some other physical activity - which it need must for it’s deeper essence to be experienced and expressed. So when you write off something that lightens your heart, merely because it does not ‘appear spiritual’, you do indeed limit your 'learning', you delay indeed those larger missions… those contributions that are so important to you. A personal example: I always loved to write letters... to pen pals, friends, even my grand ma in law and when friends wondered why I don't make a profession out of it i somehow never felt like doing so! I now realize that was a sort of preparation for all the writing I do now... it opened me up to receiving the wisdom that I intuitively do through 'writing'! Another way to tap into this passion is ask yourself what would you like to do if you had all the money and resources in the world... and you could do anything you liked! Allow the answers to come up even if they surprise you! Then take small actions towards it...and allow the passion to snowball!

Another way to determine you purposes, is to be aware that purposes become part of your life in what we will call effortless ways!  It does not mean effort is not required once it becomes part of your life! But these are the ‘coincidences’ and ‘patterns’ in your life - you just suddenly find yourself in it or something keeps coming back to you. All of you will find certain incidences in your life, which just become a part of you. So become aware of what just becomes a part of your life and know a deeper purpose is playing out through that!  You must specially view your Patterns.

Again through a personal example, I suddenly found myself expressing spiritual truths! There was no plan, no 'build' up but even as I read my first Seth book and started speaking about it to close friends, this sharing just grew of its own accord... from sharing with friends to others who just became interested through them; from speaking to larger groups that just happened from seemingly no where!

An example from a friend’s life: If you find that everywhere you go, in every activity you do, travel plays a part... and travel may seem to you such a mundane activity. You may wonder how your life purpose can be involved with travel. But only you will get your answer. You cannot keep asking the Masters. I always say ask yourself why? Why? Why? Why? Till I reach the ‘I’! And you will know why travel is your current purpose. Maybe you feel that you are in control everywhere & nothing can work without you & when you travel, you see that every area of life works beautifully even with you gone?. Or maybe it is something completely different - maybe you have been very homebound in many lives and have not been able to move easily as a soul and travel actually teaches you that home is everywhere.  There are different answers for everyone and your teachers cannot give you the answers. They can only give you the knowledge, the wisdom & as much contemplation as you do, as much conscious living as you do, as much ‘Why?? Why?’ till you reach the ‘I’ do you do, do you become more & more aware of your purposes to be.

A nice way to invite your purpose is to see the 'essence' beneath the specifics you desire. If you desire to write & you know the essence is actually to reach out to people, then you open out that avenue!  Look for the deeper essence any seeming desire is about. So many people come & say, “We want our own independent house. We do not want to live with our mother-in-law.” What is the essence? And each ones essence will be different. There is no one answer. Somebody wants control, then your current purpose to be is empowerment; somebody wants to decorate the house the way they like, your purpose to be is self-expression. Someone wants to do things their way-maybe your current purpose is to learn cooperation!  There are no answers any outer source can give you- but if you contemplate you may get a glimmer!

Another vital area to understand is- is it ‘your’ passion…  your tapas? Do you really want it or is it just because everybody around you is doing itYou will know. If it’s a burning, long, steady desire, whether it leads you somewhere or not, that is the clue to look for. If you want to do it because everybody around you is doing it, you will not have the passion, you will not have the tapas, the effort will not come & you will wonder, “Why x can do so much in a day?” “Why can you channel?” “Why can Divyaa give discourses?” Because it is a passion & we do whatever is required for it in joy and not as effort. Very often, you are influenced by people around you and think you desire something but as you really don't it thus does not have lasting power within you; it does not make you feel deeply fulfilled.

Again from personal example: coming from a business family I felt business is what I wanted to do... and the understanding that part of why I chose it... was to impress my parents, my cousins etc was subconscious for a long time! I tried one activity after another, and felt pretty useless indeed. I realize now it wasn’t one of my purposes to be. I was borrowing it to impress somebody else & therefore, there was no effort, no tapas, no results, no purpose to be. There are ofcourse certain inclinations each one has...to try this that or the other… and in trying them one discovers its not what you really enjoy or want to do- thus explore your inclinations and arrive at your passion - your purpose to be in any now!

For those of you who are now wondering what about your 'negative' desires, out answer is look for the gift. Look for the essence of, what you call selfish desires & you will find a beautiful purpose. If you want power, maybe you will realize the reason you desire power is so that you can maintain your power in balance. If you did not desire power, in the 1st place, how would you have a situation where you would be in power to then practice it in balance? If you desire glory, you will feel, “Oh my God! I desire glory.” But maybe the true purpose is humility because in true glory, you will see the glory of each & everyone around you & there will be complete humility. Try & become aware of what is behind your desires to reach your purposes!

And now many of you are feeling "ah all this talk about passion sounds good but how do you indeed find the ‘time’ or ‘means’ to fit in a passion with a 9-to 5 job! Or being a full time parent! And we say: be imaginative my dears. Lets say for example…your passion is travel…then travel within your city to new spots, surf the web to exotic locations, read the beautiful tales of distant lands tales shared by travelers …incorporate it in small and yes practical ways: by helping friends plan their vacations perhaps? And as you begin to include and not exclude your passion into your life, it will by itself open up other avenues …

What a beautiful life you as humanity have created - that your 'purpose to be' is encoded as your passion & desire! So for all of you who look for a spiritual reason to do things, here is a spiritual reason to go find your passion!!!! Yes your dharma is not your duty but your passion! With passion you automatically engage in it! Dharma is not what is 'correct' but following and expressing your inherent nature… and in that is it 'correct' for you, for each one has his /her own dharma- purpose to be and thus commiserate desires!

Yes dharma, passion, purpose all become synonymous on the larger picture! What better plan could spirit have? That each has a purpose, which brings joy! Learning and growing! And a simultaneous contribution to all others and Spirit Itself!! Indeed as you follow your passions, fulfill their reason to be, you are wholly doing your dharma! In this does your energy field expands - your kundalini automatically rises!

And yes there is a difference between passion & obsession and passion & addiction - so do not confuse the two! We call it the quick 3 D or 3E test!  Passion will make you feel expanded, elevated, empowered. Obsession and addiction makes you feel depressed depleted, disempowered!

And that is also fine! Everything in my universe is to come back to me. If you’re aware of an addiction or an obsession, become aware of what is behind it & once you do away with it, you will rise in passion.

Enjoy your purposes to be.
