Advaita: Non dual Consciousness

Non dual Consciousness: Oneness… a state which knows no ‘other’…. it’s not a state of unity which would imply two ‘coming together’… but a state which is referred to as ‘not two’… a state where the notion of another doesn’t exist…where oneness or non dual consciousness is the fundamental natural state of being!
Thus Advaita =Love

Love is thus not simply the feeling or emotion we experience as love… (Perhaps we should call that love with a small l and this Love with a capital L…). Yes, what we experience as love helps us to come closest to Love … it is the 'springboard' to jump into the ocean of  Love as Consciousness… the last point of duality….perhaps that’s why the word Love is used for both.

As language arose as part of duality there are no words that can truly describe this state (advaita) other than by negation –not two! Even our word Oneness rises in duality, as it implies the existence of something other than oneness, for the very notion of ‘oneness’ to be coined….!  So to grasp Love… we need to go beyond words…beyond duality…into ADVAITA!

LOVE – SHIFT FROM PERSONAL TO UNIVERSAL CONSCIOUSNESS

Love = No self / No personal identity!
Non self /Universal consciousness = Love!

Love is not an emotion but a state of being devoid of the separation that i (and it’s me, mine, you & yours) brings about. As our sense of separate/individuated/ego self starts to decrease, we increasingly move into the state of being - called Love!

When i (the separate self) am not - Love spontaneously is!
When there is no me & you& his & mine- Love is natural state!
Indeed no self = no fears, no demands, no attachments, no me, no you, no giving or taking = Love!

Masters (for example Christ, Buddha, Mohammed, Mahavir etc) being beyond the personal consciousness/self -established as universal consciousness- are Love Itself! This is why we feel their love so acutely – they emanate what they are!
