Dearest all, some one asked me that they have been on the inner journey so long and made so many changes, and viewed their growth and joy; yet feel so down and out when anger or ego or.... some 'negative' aspect surface that they "wonder what's the 'use' of the journey"? And my response is a take off from yesterday’s mail and a quote: The wonderful thing about saints is that they were human… they lost their tempers, got hungry, scolded god and cursed sometimes, were egotistical, or testy or impatient in turns, made mistakes, still they went on doggedly blundering toward heaven Phyllis McGinley The move from personal consciousness to Universal is a process, allow it to happen, and yet each one will 'grow' in different ways, according to their dharma, their nature; we will not all become one flat bar of angelic sameness! So play it like a game and even as you relax will the journey be smoother; where it matters not if you scream a little in excitement of climbing the (the snakes and ladders ) ladder, or go ohhh ahhh 'what the hell' when you slide down the snake! Spiritual Growth... Evolution... Realization... Claiming your creator hood... Being God... or the play of Consciousness... does not mean we all become (our human view of) of 'perfect' and 'flawless' beings; for in the larger picture all is perfect as it is... all aspects are part of the wondrous whole... so do not judge self too harshly... But focus instead on the journey and its joys and love... * If we take this deeper it is only personal consciousness that views these 'flaws' thus; for the masters... universal consciousness indeed, know it all to be a part of the game, the play... "What flaw can i have?" They question you silently through their eyes, for this understanding is beyond words "When there is no me?” And if you say "oh that’s a cop out, so convenient, you mean i can be all things nasty and it matters not" It only means you are asking from within personal consciousness! And if the question within arises... there is guilt, there is inner turbulence, confusion, askance There is a you! And as long as there is a you, These so called flaws paradoxically will be! Yet will you or can you, really be all things nasty? That’s a completely rhetorical query.. if its not your nature, not your dharma; not your purpose to disempower; 'you' cannot thus be. And when there is no you; When the shift from personal to consciousness is complete Where flaws, where ....? * Read this beyond merely the words and some more quotes to enable you each one a gem to discuss on Tuesday: What is this basic delusion? Do not feed your ego and your problems, with your attention. ...Slowly, surely, the ego will lose weight, until one fine day it will be nothing but a thin ghost of its former self. You will be able to see right through it, to the divine presence that shines in each of us." Eknath Easwaran Finding fault with yourself may be better than finding fault with others. Better still to find the deeper ground, that has no fault lines, and thus no earthquakes. Unknown
Only when one awakens can he tell of his dreams. Be still, and let the dream come, so it may fade away. This is the way of freedom from karma on the path of meditation. Unknown
