THE
ABSOLUTE - SPIRIT AND MATTER
IF ONE IS MISSING NEITHER IS PRESENT
SOUL AND CAUSAL BODY
Please read this meditatively go with the
flow…gist… essence… don’t get stuck in the words or terms as different seekers
use different words… this gnosis arose in meditation and direct knowing is
difficult to put into word!
The Absolute is Spirit and Matter. We
can describe Spirit & Matter in many ways: Awareness and ‘That’ which Awareness
is aware of
Subject - Object;
Purusha – Prakriti (Impersonal Yang-Yin);
Shiva – Shakti – (Personalized Yang yin)
Indeed if either is missing neither is present!
This… Spirit-Matter…
is immanent in/as All That Is. Thus when The Absolute (Whole/Source call it
what we may) chooses to revel in, know, experience, explore, express Itself …
It becomes the many dimensions and realms of Consciousness - including humanity
and the material plane. Thus each of us
- and all that makes up our worlds- is immanently Sprit & Matter (Awareness
& ‘That’ which Awareness is aware of; Subject & Object; Purusha&
prakriti; Shiva & Shakti; Yang-yin) Indeed if either is missing neither is
present! We are always both yang and yin. We can say all that makes up our
life- its people, events and things are the object and we the ego self is the
subject. Our higher self is the impersonal Consciousness and our current self
the personalized consciousness … these are just a few ways of looking at the
inextricable presence of both spirit and matter within us.
Now let’s view
spirit & matter’s in us through the terms soul & causal body.
Spirit is present as our soul. (Our Purusha Shiva Yang aspect)
Matter is our causal body (our Prakriti, Shakti, Yin aspect).
-The Absolute wills to know /experience/explore
All ‘That’ It Is (as the Matter-Void- Shakti- Supreme Yin principle It Is) through
Its aspect of Awareness (Yang- Shiva )
-However , in order to wholly know /experience/explore All ‘That’ It Is … in
order to wholly know /experience/explore every nuance… The Whole individuates
into myriad subjects – souls – points of awareness. Through this process of individuation
… through one becoming many… every nuance, potential, quality that is present
in the absolute state called Void – can be known/experienced/reveled in! Every
object of the all - potential matter is brought to life by the life force of
awareness/spirit/soul …and thereby All
THAT Is knows/experiences/revels in
ItSelf.
-And each individuated soul chooses (or is apportioned)
a portion of the Whole – of the
matter That It Is - to know /experience/explore and revel in. And this is what we call our original ‘body’… that
part of the all-potential matter which our soul dons around it to know
/experience/explore know -and this is what is referred to as our causal body! Thus we can say that this ‘matter’ that makes up the souls Causal
body is each soul’s purpose to Be…each
souls purpose to know /experience/explore … its also called our original karma…
(More on this in the in-depth note on the Origin of Karma) The causal body is thus
that portion of the whole that the whole chooses to explore, experience knows
through each individuated soul! It’s ‘our’ starting point to say… and further
becomes what we call our mental, emotional and physical bodies and the people
events and things that make up our world.
-In simpler terms we can say Self becomes a team
of selves -subjects/points of awareness/souls - towards bringing back to Self
the sum of each ones experiences, knowledge and exploration. Thus just as every
team mate experiences and enjoys the results of the whole teams end result/work
… every self contributes to… and… gets to know/experience The whole!
-Through this we further see how we are Spirit
and matter. Subject and object! Yang and yin! Shiva and Shakti ( the primordial
all-potential causal body is Void/Supreme yin/Shakti; And it’s realized,
experienced and known state- life and the people events things of life- is
prakriti!) The soul is the subject, the perceiver, awareness of… All That It Is
as matter, Void, Shakti!
-The soul our I Am presence … becomes the i of current self …as it hones and narrows its focus to explore
its apportioned aspects of matter/prakriti! Once this is done it expands back
to I!
- So we come full circle back to - If either is
missing neither is present! One cannot be without the other- Awareness cannot
be without That which It is aware of; and without Awareness -That which
awareness is aware of – couldn’t ‘Be’!
