THE MIND THAT DOES NOT UNDERSTAND IS THE BUDDHA

Buddha really implies a state of consciousness- we can call this state of consciousness all-thingness or no thingness ... thus the ‘term’ Buddha literally means both non-self & the enlightened one (filled with all light)

‘Gautam’ Buddha… was one of the humans who attained this Buddhic consciousness … its also known as Christ Consciousness and Krishna Consciousness …a state of pure awareness. He was one of those who fulfilled the highest human potential!

Buddha Purnima is actually a triple celebration… Gautam Buddha’s birthday & day of enlightenment & and seeming ‘death’. Its deeper message being that this state of consciousness is inherent for all who are ‘born’! It whispers to us that in our birth -individually and as the human race – enlightenment is inherent!  As is ‘death’! Not only physical death... but what Buddha really died into … eternal light… and its deathlessness indeed!

This state cant be really understood… but moved into...(as its beyond the mind )and in that moving into it... all the concepts that helped us move into it dissolve. Thus the Zen quote: “The mind that does not understand is the Buddha.” When there is no mind there is no personal consciousness = Buddha hood!

No personal self /ego notion ‘me’ = deathlessness! As we move beyond the personal self (and its cause and effect and life and death known as the wheel of samsara) we move into impersonal self and its deathlessness – there is no one or nothing to die. Deathlessness is beyond dying and not dying.  It’s the birthing into egoless ness… the move from personal consciousness into Impersonal consciousness… or Buddha hood (non self)…. there is no one or nothing to die or not….
