ENLIGHTENMENT
= LIBERATION = MOKSHA = AWAKENING
Enlightenment – Liberation –Moksha = Awakening! A
glance into different terms, each describing ‘Awakening’ from a subtly
different angle!
ENLIGHTENMENT:
One with (the Light/frequency of) Awareness. Light = symbolizes the higher frequency of
Awareness. Darkness = symbolizes lower frequencies of
density & separation
As we increasingly move back into Pure Awareness
(that we inherently are) - we are ‘getting’ enlightened so to say. When we
unceasingly abide as Awareness- as its higher frequency/light - there is no
‘darkness’ of separation/individuation/maya/ego self/me notion left -and this
is called enlightenment. Buddha – means both ‘filled with light’ and ‘no self’
– thus it depicts the enlightened state!
THE
PARADOX: Enlightenment is a state of being where there is no ‘me’ left… so
as long as i seek enlightenment… the seeker (me) is present … and enlightenment
can’t be. So ‘i’ never get enlightened (indeed when enlightenment happens to a
‘me’ it’s only in the eyes of another!
LIBERATION:
means freedom and refers to breaking free from the illusion of a separate
individual ‘me’ /ego notion - and its limitations. It refers to the release
from personal consciousness, maya, duality - and its ups and downs. At a deeper
level, we are never bound nor are we ever the separate ego self… and it is this
experiential awareness (not intellectual understanding) that is called
liberation!
THE
PARADOX: Liberation is not for the i but from the i (that we think we are)!
MOKSHA: is the awakening from
the delusion of personal self - thus personal ‘karma’ - the cycle of cause and
effect – and thus from the cycle of life, death & rebirth called samsara!
No ‘me’ = no ‘my’ karma = no separate cause and effect to track = freedom from
the wheel of identity/samsara = Moksha
THE
PARADOX: Cause and effect is an irrevocable maxim of our plane as long as
the ‘me’ exists – Moksha shows us that the maxim remains in place, but the ‘me’
doesn’t!
Thus dis-identification from or dissolution of
the personal self… is AWAKENING! Enlightenment, liberation and Moksha= Awakening from personal consciousness and
its cause and effect into universal consciousness and its cosmic play! Enlightenment
is the move from self to Self; liberation is release from the self unto Self;
Moksha is Self released from the cycles of self!

MORE
ON ENLIGHTENMENT – LIBERATION –MOKSHA = AWAKENING!
MOKSHA
refers to freedom from the wheel of samsara –from the cycle of life, death
& rebirth. It refers to the state of being where we do not need to re-enter
human life again.
Thus what
is the route to Moksha? Till we identify with the ‘me-notion’/personal
identity/separated individuated ego self… we are bound to what seem to be its
thoughts & actions (even if they become increasingly ‘better’ actions and
effects… at the most we live a better spin of the cycle… of course with there
always being some action required on a physical plane that will result in what
we call a 'negative' effect and its seemingly endless and inevitable cycles of cause
and effect
This
identification remains even after what we call death… because as long as
there is a ‘me’ … the me exists even after physical life… the me dons astral an
astral body and lives and works out its cycle in what we call the astral realms
… thus is cause and effect traced beyond death too and causes rebirth … and
then at some point self/me re enters physical life towards reaping its effects
and trying to move beyond the me notion! Thus it is
our identification with the personalized consciousness that we seem to be…
identification with the vehicle Consciousness adopts to explore Itself instead
of identification with Consciousness that adopts this me-notion vehicle…
identification with what happens through a ‘me’ (what’s spiritually called doership) do we
remain bound to its cause and effect!
Thus
dis-identification/ awakening from the delusion of a personal self … is the
only way out of cause & effect on our physical plane, where every
action/thought/feeling has an equal effect! When there is no identification
with the personal self (me notion)… there is no identification with its
thoughts & actions… and thus no identification with its chain of cause and
effect! Thus are we ‘released’ from what otherwise would be an endless turn of
the wheel…! And this release from the endless wheel…which actually implies
release from the me-notion is called Moksha!
As life,
death & rebirth are based on the universal law of cause and effect that
functions on our plane… which paradoxically is an irrevocable maxim of our
plane… the only way out of life and birth…. is to be out of cause & effect!
But we cannot be out of cause and effect as long as we exist as the ‘me’! And
only on Awakening from the dream/maya of personal identity… only through liberation
of the me-notion… only through enlightenment of what we are not and what we
are… can there be Moksha!
ENLIGHTENMENT
… is the understanding… awareness… realization… of the delusion of the
personal self (me-notion)…and what leads to LIBERATION from it… resulting in Moksha! When we awaken to, real-ize
and establish in the awareness that we are not the separate/individuated self
we thought we are- when we become aware that flow of actions, events, thoughts
and feelings that we claimed as ‘mine’ is actually the flow of Consciousness ,
when we realize we are not the doer thus there is no 'separate' chain of cause
and effect that is ‘mine’… indeed all is
a play of Consciousness…then in
this increasing real-ization …one day…. the complete dis-identifcation
happens…and we liberated from cause and effect…karma…rebirth and... its cyclic
nature called samsara! Moksha!
Paradoxically
the very goal that seekers so ardently seek - personal enlightenment- is only
the carrot and journey towards the real goal - which is dissolution of the ‘me’
that seeks enlightenment! At some point, as enlightenment happens and the light begins to fill us, we understand that when Universal
Consciousness/Self has fulfilled whatever It chose to explore, experience,
express revel in through this ‘me' (a vehicle/medium Self creates for this
beautiful purpose..) will it dissolve. And in this we move into a state of
being where there is no rush or anxiety about ‘my’ enlightenment because being
one with Consciousness, I as Consciousness, know that ‘Divyaa’ is not awakened
because I as Consciousness don’t choose it yet, and when I as Consciousness do
so…then so will I as 'Divyaa'.... and it will ‘happen’…Consciousness awakens
to Itself through a ‘me’! We switch alliance from 'me' and 'my' concerns to the
Consciousness I Am... and know that the 'me' will be liberates from this cosmic
stage, only when its role in the play is coming to an end... we rest in the
gnosis that whatever is best for the cosmic play...is what’s best for the 'me'
who is but a part of the larger play!
Seekers
work towards enlightenment, liberation and awakening - but the paradox is that these
are terms for when there is no ‘me’ the seeker desiring these states! So
there will be no Divyaa (put your own name here) to feel 'ah i have got
enlightened'! There will be no ‘me’ to pat myself on the back... it would be an
occurrence in Consciousness.
