NO PERSONAL SELF /EGO = /THOUGHTLESSNESS

A MEDITATIVE EXPLORATION THROUGH THE ANALOGY OF A TV ANTENNA & WOUND UP TOY!

No personal self/identity (ego) = beingness/ the cosmic flow/thoughtlessness!

ANALOGY 1: We need a RADAR/ANTENNA to pick up the zillion TV waves floating around. Based on the radar’s/antenna’s frequency - it picks up/tunes into/attracts/translates - the requisite air bytes/waves (and not the rest...) which then play on its TV screen!

But no ANTENNA/RADAR= no picking up waves = no story (on TV screen)! Similarly, no personal self/me/ego  (the radar/antenna) = nothing to which the cosmic play attaches itself to…nothing which can pick up from the stream of cosmic impulses = thus no ‘my’ thoughts or experiences, only the cosmic play, events and deeds happen but no doer thereof! The stream of consciousness…its impulses…nano second ‘nows’…beingness… (Call it whatever you resonate to) become personalized ‘thoughts’ and thus 'experiences' when there is an identity / personal self to which they attach! Otherwise it’s all just the cosmic play/flow.  Thus as our sense of separate self- our personal identity- often called the ego increasingly dissolves, we spontaneously begin to enter and abide as the flow.

ANALOGY 2: Like any ANTENNA  vibrates to a range of frequencies and thus picks up only those frequencies/waves/bytes to show on its TV screen – likewise   - as current self – ‘I’ vibrate to a range of frequencies and thus tune into ‘finer’ and ‘denser’ aspects of the cosmic play….and  their experiences! However we also have a certain ‘centre of attention’- that frequency we usually reside in- and that is what will gather the most thoughts! The trick is to raise this centre of attention..! To raise our frequency..! To thus tune into like wise universal thoughts and experiences!

ANALOGY 3: I often view the personal identity/ego self as one of those children old fashioned WIND -UP TOYS. Thus we the personal self plays itself out like any winding toy does only when its charge goes out! But if we keep abiding as/paying attention to this 'personal self' or if we the personal/ego self try to move from it ...then its like winding up the toy again...giving it one more crank...giving it more 'life' so to say rather than allowing its charge to run out as it must;-)

EDITED TRANSCRIPT OF THE MEDITATIVE EXPERIENCE:

So come beloveds, See the air filled with TV waves/ frequencies/bytes (call it what you like). They are just swirling around. Now become aware of an antenna /radar (call it what you like) and you will observe that the moment there is an antenna/ radar, it picks up these frequencies & waves and beams them onto a television screen. The frequencies/waves were already in the air- of all the programs, indeed of every programme being aired- but only when there is an antenna /radar...and based on its setting the antenna that picks up certain waves/bytes and displays them on its TV screen.  

Now, observe this antenna dissolve, it is not there anymore, and become aware what happens? The waves/bytes… are all over the place as they were before... but with no antenna to pick them up...they are just all there in space…in the air!

Now, see the same place/space you are in- is filled not with tv waves/bytes- but with a stream of consciousness…cosmic impulses….what you call the cosmic play…everything that has ever happened… happening ...existence itself... beingness…Consciousness’ foray unto Self…every experience… every event… every thought… every idea…every nuance….All That Is… swirling around in this beautiful space …

And become aware that ‘you’ the personal identity/self sitting there is that antenna!  As you do this, you become aware that ‘you’ are picking up/attracting/translating from the cosmic play… whatever frequencies ‘you’ are vibrating at! And therefore from the vastness of the cosmic play, from that infinite stream of consciousness/beingnesss - you, the personal you, the identity you (which we are showing you in the symbolic image of an antenna) - is picking up from that multitude a certain range… based on your frequencies…what your personal energy field vibrates at/as!! And that reflects on the TV screen of your life as its events and experiences...your life stories..!

Now… see ‘you’ the personal identity dissolve… the symbolic image of you as an antenna dissolve… it is not there anymore… and become aware what happens? As there is no you/ no antenna... once again only the stream of consciousness is present… beingness. (Thus only when there is a ‘you’… a personal individuated identity...does it pick up from the cosmic play/cosmic impulses/ stream of consciousness! And this is what are called ‘your thoughts’ and thus what becomes ‘your life experiences and events’…. When there is no you...there are no your thoughts...no your life events...there is only the cosmic play... and as the cosmic play ‘you’ are automatically are witness…or more accurately a state of witnessing)

Now beloveds come back to that space and come back to yourself as an antenna... and become aware that it is your frequency that attracts to it the bytes from the cosmic play! So as you raise your frequency- as you bridge the seeming separation from Self...as you bridge the seeming ignorance of Self - your frequency rises ... and as your frequency rises… you pick up from the cosmic play...its ‘higher’…’finer’… what you call ‘more beautiful’ experiences and thoughts.

And yet, like any antenna, you vibrate to a range of frequencies, from your highest to your lowest... and therefore your lowest energies./ frequencies …pick up from the cosmic play the denser thoughts… the worries…what you call the more troublesome experiences... the more limited experiences and life events. (This will answer some of you- why when you usually abide in a higher & finer frequency-when your thoughts are usually the higher finer ones- why are there moments of denser thoughts and experiences! Because beloveds… each of you have a range…and thus a lower end too! Your higher frequency attracts to you the higher finer thoughts… and the lower frequency attracts to you the lower thoughts…)

Now…become aware that like an antenna has its usually set setting…you have a setting where you abide in most of the time…let’s call it your centre of attention... and this centre of attention is what attracts to you the multitude of your thoughts and experiences! And this is the trick: so simple beloveds - keep raising your setting- your centre of attention/beingness- because as your centre rises...your lowest frequency is becoming higher and finer… higher and finer... thus do you attract like wise from the cosmic play….and abide in higher finer thoughts and thus experiences! Do this symbolically now… see yourself as this beautiful long thermometer if you like. See your centre of attention …wherever it shows up...this frequency attracts to it from that cosmic play…from all its impulses …that which become your thoughts...! The lower frequencies attract the lower ones...the higher ones the higher ones...and all you all are doing through your lives...as you bridge the separation...as you bridge the ignorance... you are raising your centre of attention...and as you abide in higher and finer frequencies you attract from the cosmic play those higher and finer thoughts and feelings and ideas and experiences...what you call love… and abundance…and joyfulness…

Now …very important….see your thermometers...see where your centre is…and raise it…slightly up...and a little higher…and higher… till you are at the tip of that thermometer… so even your lowest frequency is at the very top. (This is what happens to you all in ‘meditation’…and that is why you feel so good here) And if your lowest frequencies are at the very top...your highest frequency has gone beyond the thermometer… beyond the antenna of self… beyond personal self/ individuated self… beyond ego self... and now like we did with you in your last session... take the leap...jump off the tip of that thermometer...jump off the tip that antenna...so that you jump off completely from personal identity… from individuations… from your ego self. ..

When you take that symbolic/imagery leap…you may land on a cloud…because initially you need something to identify with...so I am the cloud...but even the cloud dissolves...I am the sky... but even the sky dissolves…I am Ether...even Ether dissolves...I am Consciousness... even I Am dissolves.... there is just isness... no identity... no self. There is no I... even…as I means another...otherwise where… I?  Go beyond the need to call this state something…as the very word ‘no-self’ becomes a sort of self….gives form to the formless and a description to the descirptionless - so go beyond the words.

No hooks to hang your hats on! No-self/individuation/ego= nothing to attract a portion of the cosmic play!  Yes… beloveds… when there is no-self there is nothing on which the cosmic play can attach itself to. And as the cosmic play itself ...events are happening but there is no doer thereof….. Stay in this for a few moments. (Alas .. even though ‘you’ are now the cosmic play and not you ….we have to use the word ‘you’ in speaking)

Now let’s go deeper: (You) as the cosmic play…look down… and become aware that all the antennas are still there! It is ‘you as the cosmic play ’ who has detached  from the antenna that ‘you the ego/personal individuation’ are... and therefore the current self is still there... the divyaa self  (put your own name) is still there….but its not ‘you’(or where your consciousness resides) ... for ‘you’ are the cosmic play...! Become aware of all the antennas: the X…and the Y.. and the Divyaa(yr name)…etc etc are all there…and therefore the Divyaa(yr name) and the X and the Y… continue their life stories...! ‘Their’ vibrations continue to attract to them requisite thoughts and thus experiences. Yes, ‘they’ are raising their frequencies, but ‘you’ as the cosmic play have nothing to do with any of them/that… indeed as the cosmic play your identification with the Divyaa self (your name) or seeming ‘others’- with the X self or Y self or Z self is one and the same- ‘you as the cosmic play’ are not more attached/identified with the divyaa self (yr name) than the other selves!

Let’s go deeper: (You) as the cosmic play…are looking down… and see all these selves/ identities like those kiddie wound-up toys- and each one is playing itself out like any winding toy does when its winding/charge goes out! Each ones winding.what you all call their ‘karma’ …what you call their ‘purposes’ to be…what you call their ‘sanskars’…is the analogical charge/winding that is playing out. So yes they …the divyaa self (put your own name here) and other selves are living their lives... raising their frequencies...and like a wound up toy they are moving around…some have just being wound up and are in full steam…in some the charge is running out!  But remember…all of them...all those humans /personal entities/ antennas/wound up toys…are one and the same to you as the cosmic play... you don’t identify with ‘yourself the toy’ anymore than you do with the seeming others...they are all wound up toys of the cosmic play ... and as each ones charge is finished only then will they subside.!

Lets go deeper: we have no words to say this …so we say it in words that do not do it justice… go beyond the words:  For the duration ‘you’  are the cosmic play there is no personal you- and as long as ‘you’ (though there is no you we need to use the word to speak ) abide as the cosmic play/ Universal Consciousness/non personal you - then the personal ego you… the Divyaa (yr name) ego current self ….is not being further wound up! Because while ‘you’ are cosmic play, for those moments without the life force of  attention, w/o the life force of awareness of personal identification to keep it going… its charge is diluting automatically…...! Thus the more frequently or longer you abide as the cosmic play the more are ‘you the ego’ being weaned off!

Of course the moment we have spoken this...that very moment your attention from/as cosmic play shifted to personal ego self….all of you instantly got connected/attached to current self again…happy or concerned that ...Ahh ...by being part of the cosmic play… me the Divyaa self (put your   own name here) am dissolving/evolving ...and in that very personal thought you have attached back to personal self..! But…it cannot be done in any other way through words ... so beloveds forget concerns about what is happening to your current /personal selves... whether they are dissolving/evolving.. .just abide as the cosmic play …moment to moment abide as Universal Consciousness...!

Let’s go deeper and become aware that when you are Universal Consciousness, you are its qualities… aspects… essence (call it what you may)! You are ‘bliss’...you are the ‘now’...you are ‘acceptance’… ‘Infinity’…’light’ … ‘witness.’….you are all those terms you read and learn about… automatically! When there is no you and me...you are automatically the state of you call Love. You are pure expression…consciousness expressing itself forth!   But another subtly vital point of great importance: as a Universal Consciousness you are bliss - you are not happiness – you are not all those things you value in your plane of duality. Yes that is for the higher frequencies of personal self still part of duality... but as cosmic play you are even beyond that... you are bliss which is beyond the opposites of joy and not joy … beyond the idea of abundance and not abundance...beyond the notion of ups and downs... and in that even in ups and downs there is no up and down for you…

Of course… as long as you have a physical body…and as long as you have a role to play on physical Earth...the requisite portion of identity will be retained...
