MOVING BEYOND THE I –FROM WITNESS TO A STATE OF WITNESSING

We confer onto an act/state of witnessing- an identity- and thus turn a ‘state of witnessing’ into ‘a’ Witness! However as we move into, establish and abide as this all encompassing ‘Witness/I’ there comes its own dissolution – we move even from this vastest identity – into pure beingness and a state of witnessing - without any identity whatsoever. No I/Self even; no hooks to hang our hats on

 This vast, all-inclusive, all-penetrating and in the Now act/state of witnessing - is that which we label as Self-I.  The narrower, more surface, much excluding & based in time & space is what we call the participant-self-i .Thus as we move from self to Self, as we expand our sense of i to I… we increasingly move from being participant into further and further degrees of being the witness…till we abide as the Witness. But then as said above, there comes upon Its own dissolution – the move from identification- the move from ‘being the witness’ to the identity less   state of witnessing!  Thus in the ultimate sense it is not only the ego-self that dissolves, but also the I/Self/.

The paradox is that as ego self increasingly dissolves, the I/Self increasingly establishes. And only then, once established as I/Self… can It’s dissolution…happen!

The more we are the ego self, the i, the participant- the more are we are spectator to merely a small range from all of existence – what we view as our lives, our world, the past/present linear line! As we expand into Witnessing, Self, I - we witness a vaster existence - the universe, consciousness, the now and thus past/present/future! Yet, as this Witness, Self, I we can choose to focus on the ‘smaller here and now of our lives’ and thus live at both levels! 

In a very basic analogy (so go with the gist please): As ego, i , participant and its thus limited vision you could see a bird cross your window… but as the bird flies by… you cant see it anymore!  But once established in the vaster vision of Self/I… you could see the birds entire journey…if you chose! We all think oh wow we will all then be able to see everything and know everything - ut paradoxically as that all seeing Witness/Self one is only focused on whatever their Now is about!

Even as i see what i write i can distinguish between being the participant (involved in the writing).... moving being The Witness...(of the writing self) and finally the state of witnessing...(No me/I) try it!
